About
I’m Griffin Lambert and I’m a storyteller. Here’s my story.
.
My journey into photography began as a refuge in the wake of profound loss. When my father passed away in 2018 from pancreatic cancer, I found myself navigating a world that felt fractured and uncertain. Yet, even in my darkest moments—when I had lost nearly everything—I discovered an unexpected truth: beauty still existed, and more remarkably, I had the ability to create it.
Based in North Georgia, my work is deeply influenced by the region’s hauntingly beautiful landscapes, abandoned spaces, and untamed nature. I blend personal trauma with themes of decay, transformation, and resilience, using these settings as metaphors for the human experience. The interplay between light and darkness, beauty and ruin, allows me to craft darkly surreal images that explore the fragile yet enduring nature of existence.
Beyond fine art photography, my creative practice extends into documentary work, prose, and spoken word—each serving as a different means of storytelling and catharsis. Through my art, I seek to explore the depths of loss, memory, and healing, inviting viewers to find their own meaning within the shadows and light.
